The Role

We are seeking a part-time Worship Leader to serve as a shepherd and guide for our worship gatherings. This is an opportunity to lead our congregation in blended worship—a combination of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs—while building and developing a worship team. As a spiritual leader first and a musician second, the ideal candidate will have a humble, servant heart and a passion for equipping others to lead worship.

Our Sunday worship services begin at 11:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead worship on Sundays for 42–46 Sundays per year on guitar or keyboard

• On Sundays when you are not leading, help coordinate a substitute worship leader

• Build and develop a worship team by identifying qualified musicians from the church and community

• Manage volunteer schedules and coordinate worship team logistics

• Select songs and prepare chord charts, lyric sheets, and arrangements for other musicians

• Coordinate weekly service planning with the elder in charge of weekend worship

• Prepare all visual multimedia for worship services, including song slides, videos, and graphics

• Maintain the church’s CCLI account and ensure compliance with copyright requirements

• Train and mentor worship team members to develop their gifts and leadership

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of worship leading experience

• Proven experience building and leading worship teams

• Proficient singer with strong musical abilities

• Flexibility with media/worship platform software (we are open to candidates experienced with ProPresenter, EasyWorship, MediaShout, or similar platforms)

• Experience with audio equipment is a bonus

• Most importantly: a humble, servant-hearted approach to worship leading; a passion for the gospel; and a desire to develop and equip other musicians

Compensation & Time Commitment

Compensation: $250 per week

Expected time commitment: 8-10 hours per week

Benefit: As part of the church’s revitalization initiative, you will receive monthly coaching and mentorship from a seasoned worship leader to support your growth and leadership development.
