Executive Pastor, Grace Fellowship in Pickerington, Ohio

Growing up Tim NEVER wanted to be a pastor, but God has a sense of humor, and after graduating from Liberty University he found myself in full-time pastoral ministry. Tim’s ministry road has not been easy, but through it all God has remained faithful and he is more excited than ever about the ministry God has for his family to accomplish at Grace Fellowship in Pickerington, Ohio where he serves as the Executive Pastor with his wife and 2 children. Tim’s passion is to see thriving local churches that are reaching people with the hope of the gospel, unleashing young leaders into ministry, and multiplying more thriving churches! Tim is honored to be a part of what God is doing in our Fellowship and excited to see the impact Assist will make as we launch healthy, sustainable, multiplying churches.


Executive Pastor, Grace Brethren Church of Waldorf, MD

Dennis Fay joined the pastoral staff of Grace Brethren Church of Waldorf, MD in January 2003 after 25 years of serving in the United States Navy, Department of Commerce and the Department of Agriculture. He joined the GBC staff as an Assistant Pastor overseeing the small group and discipleship ministries. Since 2003 his job responsibilities have exponentially increased to include the following: overseeing a 17 acre, multi-building complex, church administration, finances, education, assimilation and the front door ministries. His title was changed to Executive Pastor in 2010. Other duties include chairing the Nominating Committee for the past 12 years, overseeing the Finance/Personnel Committee. He is currently the Vice-Chairman of the Grace Christian Academy. Dennis has served as a Trustee for the GBCanada USA team and is currently serving as the Treasurer for the GBC Chesapeake District ministerium.


V.P. and Dean of the Seminary and School of Ministry Studies

Dr. Gill was the senior pastor of Grace Brethren Church (Delaware, Ohio) for 20 years before joining Grace as dean of the Seminary in 2002. With two decades of pastoral experience, growing Grace Brethren Church from a handful of families to hundreds of members, Dr. Gill is a sought-after teacher and theologian. He and his wife Kathy, have been married for 38 years and have two wonderful married daughters and six beautiful grandchildren.


Lead Pastor, Renew Church in Greater Toronto Area, Ontario

Bartley Sawatsky is the co-founder and Lead Pastor of Renew Church, a multisite church in the Toronto area ( He grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada, and received his Masters of Divinity degree from Capital Bible Seminary in Washington, D.C. It was there that he first connected with the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. He serves on two different church planting boards, one in the U.S. and one in Canada, and has a keen interest in starting new churches that will reintroduce Christian faith to people in a post-Christian culture. From 2013 to 2016 he served as Executive Director of the FGBC. Bartley has been married to his wife Sarah for 23 years and they have four children. He recently published his first book, Unapologetic.


Honorary Board Member (deceased)

Pastor Larry Orme served the Penn Valley Church Multi-site Network as the executive pastor and as the campus pastor of the Telford Campus. Larry was also a member of the Fellowship Council, the leadership board of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. On Friday, April 21, 2017 at the age of 55, he went to be with his Savior with his wife and four adult children by his side. Prior to his passing, Larry had expressed his interest in serving on the initial board of Assist Church Expansion. Larry was beloved by many as their Pastor, shepherd, mentor, spiritual father, brother and friend. He lived his life fully as a devout follower of God, leading and guiding others to this same calling. His passion was to develop and coach young men to be authentic, Godly leaders in ministry. He taught and coached pastors and missionaries locally, across the country and in Europe and Nigeria. He was a gifted counselor, believing and committed to a gospel-centered Biblical counseling method. Many lives were touched, changed and enriched by the hours he selflessly poured into their lives.
